Flame isn't so sure what to do. He mostly talk to Thalia whenever he gets bored, but Thalia wasn't at the diary. Flame kept wondering why she don't trust this place. It's well protected, it has food, and it has a swing. Flame also wondered what she's doing at the moment right now. "Probably nothing." Flame said to himself. Flame decided to see what Brenda's doing. Flame walked up the the porch of the farmhouse to Brenda, "Hi." "Hi there, sweetie. How is your shin? Are you sure it's ok?" Brenda asked, concerned. "I'm ok. And I think I didn't give you my name. I'm Flame." "That's cute." Brenda replied, giggling. "Thanks; but that's not my real name. Everyone calls me 'Flame' because of my red hair." Flame explains. Flame looked up at the sky and noticed that it had a dim color. Flame then noticed Lee and Danny returning back to the dairy, "Lee!" "You're back! What happened?" Brenda asked. "Handled it, mama." Danny replied before leaving Lee. Lee brushed past the picket gate and went to Brenda and Flame. "This isn't what Terry would've wanted..." Brenda said remorsefully. "Terry?" Flame and Lee said in unison. "My husband. Miss him every day." Brenda explained. Then, there was a loud bickering that drew the attention of the three of them from the far side of them; it was Lilly and Kenny again. Lilly was yelling, leaning closer as to try to intimidate, "Then screw it up for everybody then, why don't you?" "Oh calm down, princess. I'll do it myself." Kenny retorted, before turning and walking away. Lilli had a look of disgust and disbelief on her face, before she returned to neutral. She also turned and walked away toward the gazebo where her dad sat.
Now that the argument was over, Lee turned to Flame and Brenda, "What's going on with them?" Flame just shrugged his shoulders. "Dunno. Squabblin', looks like. A lotta tension with ya'll, huh?" Brenda raised her eyebrows. "Don't mind them. It's how they are. Each of them want to be in charge, you know?" Lee said and Flame joined in, "Yeah. It's just the way they are. Apples and oranges." "Well, it's probably just the hunger talkin'! We all get a little test. We'll fix that shortly!" Brenda said proudly. Lee looked at Flame's red-covered shin and shook his head, still thinking about the bandits. Brenda read his mind, "And Lee, don't worry your head about them bandits. I'm sorry you and Flame have seen more violence that I'da thought in both your short times, but ya'll are safe here. Don't worry." "Thanks." Flame smiled at the woman. Lee frowned, "Think I'll go have a look around." "May I join you?" Flame asked and Lee nodded his head. "Don't wander too far. Dinner will be ready before you two know it." Brenda smiled. Her expression looked a bit off though, "And thanks your friend Katjaa again for me. She and the kids are in the barn with the cow. That woman is a life saver!" Flame and Lee nodded and both turned to head down the sloping hill. Flame and Lee pushed their way out of the fence and both noticed Clementine appeared from inside the barn doors, peeking out to them. She smiled and waved, before closing the barn door.
Flame looked up at the sky again and he heard thunder. "Do you think it's going to thunder storm tonight?" Flame asked to Lee, continuing looking at the dark sky. "Lee?" Flame looked at Lee and noticed Clementine's hat. "Hey. You found Clem's hat." Flame said, proud that Clementine's hat was found. "Yeah. I did." Lee replied and put the hat back in his pocket. Flame was about to ask Lee where he found it, but Flame didn't it might bother Lee of what might of happened while he was with Danny when looking at the bandit's camp. The two walked towards the barn, wondering what's going on in the barn. Lee pushed open the wooden gates that separated the rest of the farm from the barn and hay. Flame looked at the side and noticed a tool shed at the back of the house, just at the edge of the property. "Why do they need tools for?" Flame said in head, "Maybe for the wheat's and vegetables to cut them down, I guess." Lee and Flame headed over to the doors that Clementine had sealed and Lee slide them back open with a loud creak. Both Flame and Lee went in.
