Molly began her story, “When everything started going to shit, some people got together and sealed off that whole neighborhood. Folks willing to do anything to stay alive, stop the dead getting in. Sus and I tried to avoid ‘em.” “Why?” Kenny asked. Molly and Susan turned to him. “Let’s just say they have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who won’t – or can’t – live by their rules.” Molly said. “So how’d you know we weren’t them?” Kenny asked, crossing his arms. Molly turned to Flame and Clementine, “Because there are no children in Crawford. Not anymore.” Flame raised a brow, “What do you mean, no children? Why?” Molly moved to the barricade as she spoke, “No children, no elderly, no-one with an advanced medical condition. Basically no-one who might be a burden on the community. Crawford’s all about the survival of the fittest. That’s how they survived, while the rest of the world went to shit around them.” “Jesus Christ…” Kenny breathed. Susan turned to him, “Well, it’s the opposite, when you think about it.” “What exactly did Crawford do with all these ‘burdens?’ What happened to them?” Lee asked. Molly pointed to some of the walkers on the poles, “Well, you met some of them already.”

Kenny pinched the bridge of his nose, “Fuck me.” Flame just signed and shakes his head. Susan nodded her head, agreeing with them, “Yeah. Anyone who got sick, anyone too old, anyone they figured wasn’t strong enough to survive. To them those people were just mouths to feed, a drain on their precious resources.” Flame turned to Susan, “Wait a minute. You’re a kid and you said that there are no more children in Crawford.” Susan turned her head, not wanting to meet with the boy’s suspicious look. “How do you and Susan know all this?” Lee asked Molly. Molly spoke while avoiding eye contact, “Everyone in Savannah knew. What was going on inside Crawford got passed around like a ghost story. Except this one was true.” Flame looked at Clementine and noticed that she looked like she was getting sick. He couldn’t blame her, he felt sick to his stomach too. Most about the people getting killed just because they have medical conditions. Flame’s got a medical condition and if he lived in Crawford, he would be dead right now.  Lee looked at the two kids, “Clem, Flame, what the hell are you two doing here? How’d you both get out of the house?” Clementine quickly answered, “Omid started getting really sick, Christa, Thalia and Ben had to take him upstairs. I didn’t just want to sit around there, I wanted to come help.” “I followed along because I don’t wanna sit around and wait for another—“ Flame stopped himself for saying that he’ll wait for another asthma attack. He didn’t want Lee and Kenny to worry. “I told you I don’t need any help.” Lee told the kids. Molly raised a brow, “Really? Because if it weren’t for them showing up when they did I would’ve beaten your brains out.” “That’s debatable.” Lee said. Susan slowly nodded her head, “Uh, huh…”

“Do you two know who’s been ringing those bells all over town?” Lee asked. Molly nodded her head, “Yeah, that would be me and Sus.” “I knew it!” Kenny shouted angrily, pointing his finger and the two girls, “Lee, I knew they were the ones who’s been following us, fucking with us!” Susan swotted Kenny finger away, “Get that finger out of our faces, grandpa, before I jam it straight up your ass.” Molly turned to Lee, “We haven’t been following you. We don’t even know who the hell you people are.” “Calm down, Kenny. The voice on the radio was a guy, remember?” Lee recalled to Kenny. Kenny glanced at Lee for a moment before turning back to Molly and Susan, “Yeah, well. Whoever you two are, ringing those bells this morning nearly got us all killed, raised the dead all around us!” Molly shrugged her shoulders, “That’s the idea, genius. It’s how Sus and I get around. We ring a bell in one neighborhood to attract the local geeks towards it, buys us some time to scavenge the areas they cleared out.” Flame raised an eye brow, “Geeks? Is that what you call them? We called them ‘Walkers’.” Susan turned to Flame, “Walkers? Good one. And, yeah geeks, you know, like at the carnival. They’ll eat anything, alive or dead.” “That’s pretty smart, with the bells.” Lee thought out loud. Molly turned to Lee, “Doesn’t take much to outsmart the dead. Bunch of dumb-asses. You just gotta move fast, get in and out before they start to wander back again.”
